Northbound Events started with a small group of friends who'd spent years going to conventions as attendees — queueing for panels, trading recommendations, and noticing the same things going wrong, event after event.

So we decided to put that experience to use. We're not a faceless events company that's branched into "geek culture" because it's trendy — we're fans first, organisers second, and that order matters.

Every event we run is shaped by the question: "would we want to be here as an attendee?" If the answer isn't a clear yes, we go back to the drawing board.
