These Terms and Conditions apply to the purchase of tickets for, and attendance at, events organised by Northbound Events ("we", "us", "our"). By purchasing a ticket, registering for an event, attending an event, using our website, or purchasing any event-related product, extra, package, or service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

If you do not agree with these Terms and Conditions, you should not purchase a ticket or attend our events.

1. About Us

Northbound Events is an event planning and event management business based in the North of England. Our contact details are set out below and may also be published on our website.

2. Definitions

"Attendee", "you" or "your" means any person purchasing a ticket, attending an event, registering for an event, or using our website.

"Event" means any in-person, online, hybrid, private, public, ticketed, promotional, corporate, convention, fan, networking, entertainment, workshop, party, or other event organised, hosted, promoted, managed, or delivered by us.

"Ticket" means any paid or free ticket, pass, wristband, badge, accreditation, booking, registration, package, or entry confirmation issued for one of our events.

"Extras" means any additional paid or free event-related item or activity, including meet-and-greets, workshops, VIP sessions, photographs, autographs, merchandise, priority entry, after-parties, digital content, recordings, or add-on experiences.

"Venue" means the location where an event takes place.

3. Acceptance of Terms

By purchasing a ticket or attending an event, you confirm that you have read and understood these Terms and Conditions; you agree to comply with them; any information you provide to us is accurate and complete; and you will comply with all reasonable instructions from our staff, volunteers, contractors, security, venue staff, and emergency services. We reserve the right to refuse admission or remove any attendee who breaches these Terms and Conditions.

4. Ticket Purchases

Tickets must be purchased through our official website, approved ticketing platform, or another sales channel authorised by us. You are responsible for checking your order before completing your purchase. Once purchased, you will usually receive a confirmation email or digital ticket. We are not responsible for failed delivery where incorrect contact details have been provided.

5. Age Restrictions and Eligibility

Some events may have age restrictions, which will be stated on the event page. Where an event is age-restricted, valid photographic identification may be required on entry. If you cannot provide satisfactory proof of age, we may refuse entry without refund. Where under-18s are permitted, requirements will be stated on the relevant event page.

6. Ticket Use, Resale and Transfers

Tickets are for personal use only unless we state otherwise. Tickets must not be resold for profit or used for commercial purposes without our prior written consent. If ticket transfers are permitted, they must be processed through our official process by contacting info@northbound-events.co.uk. Unauthorised resale or transfer may result in refusal of entry.

7. Entry Requirements

To enter an event, you may be required to present a valid ticket, QR code, or booking confirmation; valid photo ID; proof of age where applicable; and any other documentation reasonably required. Wristbands, badges, or accreditation must be worn as instructed. We are not obliged to issue replacements where these have been lost, damaged, or misused.

8. Event Changes

We may need to make changes to an event, including changes to date, time, venue, schedule, guests, hosts, or event format. We will make reasonable efforts to notify ticket holders of significant changes using the contact details provided at the time of booking.

9. Guest, Speaker, Host or Performer Changes

Any advertised guest, speaker, host, or performer is booked in good faith. However, appearances may be subject to work commitments, illness, or circumstances outside our control. Unless stated otherwise, the cancellation or replacement of an individual guest does not automatically entitle you to a refund of your main event ticket. Where you have purchased a guest-specific extra and that guest is unable to attend, we may offer a refund of the guest-specific extra or a reasonable alternative at our discretion.

10. Refunds

Unless otherwise stated on the event page or required by law, tickets are non-refundable once purchased. No refund will be provided if you can no longer attend, arrive late, leave early, are refused entry, or are removed for misconduct. If we cancel an event in full and do not reschedule it, we will provide information about refund options. We are not responsible for travel, accommodation, or other costs incurred in connection with an event.

11. Payment Plans and Instalments

Where payment plans are offered, the full balance must be paid by the stated deadline. If you fail to complete payment, we may cancel your ticket without refund of amounts already paid, unless we state otherwise or are required by law.

12. Extras, Add-Ons and Activities

Certain extras may require a valid main event ticket. Extras may be subject to availability, capacity limits, and schedule changes. If you miss your allocated time, we are not obliged to rearrange the activity or provide a refund.

13. Virtual and Online Events

Virtual events may be delivered using third-party platforms. You are responsible for ensuring you have a suitable device and stable internet connection. Access links are personal to the registered attendee and must not be shared. You must not record or distribute any part of a virtual event without our prior written permission.

14. Attendee Conduct

We are committed to creating a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment. You must not engage in behaviour that is abusive, threatening, violent, discriminatory, harassing, or harmful to staff, guests, attendees, volunteers, or members of the public. Harassment or discrimination based on any protected characteristic will not be tolerated. We may refuse entry, remove you from an event, or ban you from future events if your behaviour breaches these Terms and Conditions. No refund will be provided if you are removed due to misconduct.

15. Alcohol, Drugs and Prohibited Items

You must comply with all venue rules and licensing requirements. You must not bring illegal drugs, weapons, or prohibited items into an event. We reserve the right to refuse entry or remove anyone who appears intoxicated or otherwise unsafe.

16. Health and Safety

You must comply with all health and safety instructions issued by us, the venue, or emergency services. You attend events at your own risk, subject to our legal obligations. Any accident, injury, or hazard should be reported to a member of staff as soon as possible.

17. Accessibility

We aim to make our events as accessible as reasonably possible. If you have accessibility requirements, please contact us in advance at info@northbound-events.co.uk. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate requests, but some adjustments may depend on venue limitations and availability.

18. Photography, Filming and Media

Photography, filming, and other media capture may take place at our events. By attending, you acknowledge that you may appear in photographs, video footage, livestreams, or promotional material. We may use such material for event promotion and marketing. If you have concerns about being photographed, please speak to us at the event.

19. Personal Belongings

You are responsible for your personal belongings at all times. We are not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal property unless caused directly by our negligence.

20. Merchandise and Physical Products

Where merchandise is sold at or in connection with an event, you are responsible for checking items at the time of purchase. Personalised, signed, or event-specific items may be non-refundable unless faulty or required by law.

21. Gifts, Personal Items and Guest Interaction

Where events involve guests or public figures, interaction rules may apply. You must follow all instructions regarding gifts, autographs, photographs, and physical contact. Guest interaction is subject to time constraints, safety requirements, and the guest's discretion.

22. Event Information and Communications

Important event information may be sent by email, published on our website, or posted on social media. You are responsible for checking event communications before and during the event.

23. Third-Party Services

Events may involve third-party venues, ticketing platforms, payment processors, suppliers, or technology providers. We are not responsible for the acts, omissions, or failures of third parties, except where required by law.

24. Website Use and Intellectual Property

All content on our website and event materials belongs to us or our licensors unless otherwise stated. You must not copy, reproduce, or use our content for commercial purposes without our prior written permission.

25. Data Protection and Privacy

We will handle personal information in accordance with applicable data protection laws and our Privacy Policy. We will not sell your personal information to third parties.

26. Force Majeure

We will not be liable for delay, disruption, postponement, or cancellation caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, natural disasters, epidemic or pandemic, government restrictions, venue closure, transport disruption, or supplier failure. In such circumstances, we may offer a rescheduled event, credit, voucher, refund, or other option depending on the circumstances and legal requirements.

27. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded. Subject to the above, our total liability to you will not exceed the amount you paid for the relevant ticket or booking.

28. Refusal of Entry and Removal

We reserve the right to refuse admission or remove an attendee where we reasonably believe they have breached these Terms and Conditions, pose a safety or legal risk, or have behaved abusively or unlawfully. No refund will be provided where refusal or removal is due to your breach of these Terms and Conditions.

29. Complaints and Feedback

If you have a complaint, please contact us at info@northbound-events.co.uk with your name, booking reference, event name, and a description of the issue. Complaints should be submitted within 14 days of the event where possible. We will review complaints in good faith and respond within a reasonable time.

30. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The latest version will be published on our website.

31. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction over any dispute, unless applicable consumer law gives you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
